Bold and Beautiful at Brooklyn Winery

It’s long been a belief of ours that every wedding should be a reflection of the couple’s style, personality, and love story. To those who know us, this is no surprise. Because of this, Ali + Mark’s gorgeous day is a favorite of ours. They were a couple that didn’t shy away from bold design choices that reflected their individuality. They allowed their spirits and love to shine in ways that inspired their guests. In ways that led each guest to say, “of course.” Because every decision and moment was so them. What a joy to be a part of, to plan and to witness. Big thanks to Samm Blake, for capturing Ali + Mark’s distinct love so beautifully.

First and foremost, that dress! Ali’s wedding day style was and forever will be a classic. Her own beauty and charm was simply highlighted by the spirited navy star gown. Naeem Khan designed this gown with people like Ali in mind, people whose personality and magnetism match the strong style of the design. Mark was dapper in a navy suit, as was his half of the wedding party. Ali’s side of the wedding party wowed in bright colors and patterns, each as individual as the person wearing it. The dress, the style, the wedding, and the couple were pure magic.

The Brooklyn Winery was a perfect venue choice for the couple. The couple fell in love with the warm and inviting ambiance, full of rich wood tones and nostalgic vibes. The character of the place further added to the charm and distinction of the couple’s own style, allowing it to stand out while complimenting its whimsical nature.

A bold couple deserves a bold aesthetic, and the florals by Putnam & Putnam did not disappoint. Guests were welcomed with a stunning entrance, full of abundance and beauty. As they stepped in, it was like entering a magical garden space. This botanical beauty continued in the ceremony and reception space, where hanging vines of lush greenery and full blooms decorated the walls and ceiling. The ceremonial chuppah was just as bountiful in greenery, with vivid blues and soft fabric adding to the romance of the moment.

Later, dainty blooms within clear vases were the perfect touch along the reception tables, allowing other personal elements to stand out. Hand-embroidered cloth napkins labeled each place setting for their guests. The various floral and striped patterns brought pops of color and fun, creating mix and match perfection. Other personal elements included piñatas in the likeness of the couple. Watching the couple smash each other’s faces, with love of course, was such a hilarious way to end the evening. So them.

This wedding was fun and bright, vibrant and deeply personal. Thank you to Ali + Mark, for being themselves and letting their love and personalities shine brightly. It was a joy!
