Jove Meyer is a true visionary of joy. For the spaces we call home and the ones that house life’s biggest moments, he crafts a vivid, colorful world inspired by his clients who dare to be different. Meyer set out to build a global design firm antithetical to his conservative and rigid upbringing by encouraging authenticity, celebrating diversity, and empowering marginalized communities. As a result, his work has been featured in Domino, Good Morning America, The Magnolia Network, The New York Times, Rachael Ray Magazine, and Vogue, and Harper’s Bazaar and Martha Stewart named him one of the top wedding planners in the world.

A client’s story is a fundamental element that lays the groundwork for how a space will manifest—Jove simply ensures its vibrancy. Clients call on him for his highly personalized approach to interiors and events, knowing that the end result will embody their authenticity and the narrative they want to tell. That’s why Jove and his team build strong, interpersonal connections with their clients and foster a relaxed environment during the design process. Nurturing empathetic relationships with his vast and diverse clientele has not only allowed him to create genuine spaces and events that awe, but paved the way to root his work in empowering others who weren’t given equal opportunity. When it comes to events, it takes a village, and Jove and his team pride themselves on that village being composed of vendors owned by women, people of color, LGBTQIA+ people, and allies. To affirm this, Jove requires all creative partners to sign an Ally Pledge confirming they are active allies, both online and off.

Jove’s fierce advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as the LGBTQIA+ community, transcends design and fuels his public speaking work. As a queer designer who began his career planning weddings, Jove has spoken at major events worldwide about marriage equality, attracting and working with LGBTQIA+ couples, and becoming a more inclusive vendor. Similar to his work, Jove brings life, energy, and vigor to every stage he’s on while imparting his expertise and inspiring the design community to craft a better world for everyone.

Beyond work, Jove’s life is a testament to the values he instills in his firm. He’s an avid world traveler and takes on his own design projects to further refine what it means to celebrate joy in our daily lives, all of which reflect back into the events and interiors he creates for clients. When he isn’t on the job or globetrotting, you might find him at his colorful oasis on Fire Island with his boyfriend and two dogs indulging in his love for champagne and perfectly baked chocolate chip cookies.
