Wythe Hotel Wedding

Jarrod and Eugenie planned such a beautiful Brooklyn wedding with so many awesome personal touches and we were honored to be a part of their special day! The couple was married at St. Charles of Borromeo in Brooklyn Heights where they then roamed around and took gorgeous portraits with the talented photographer Inbal Sivan! Post ceremony guests enjoyed a boat ride on the East River Ferry to Williamsburg and the weather could not have been more perfect! Once guests arrived at the Wythe Hotel we enjoyed cocktails outside in the courtyard while guests searched for their hand folded traditional Korean garment origami escort cards! The food was delicious, the toasts were heartfelt, the dancing was energetic, the wedding was simply wonderful.

Brooklyn Garden Wedding

Camille + Jonathan's beautiful Brooklyn Wedding took place in a rustic and charming restaurant with the ceremony and dinner in a lovely garden. The weather was perfect and the personal details the couple poured into their wedding really made all the difference. They incorporated flowers they grew in their garden with locally grown flowers into the centerpieces and bouquets they created. The couple made the delicious wedding favors by hand including; lemon curd, sweet and spicy sauce, pesto and peach vodka! This intimate Brooklyn Wedding was so much fun and we are delighted to have been a part of their special day!

Summer Brooklyn Garden Wedding !

I was delighted to be a part of this lovely Brooklyn based and inspired wedding! The couple was so hands on and worked to personalize their wedding in so many ways! From creating the custom graphics to making the terrariums (with some plants grown by family members) they really went above and beyond to add their personalities and personal touches! They got ready at the Fabulous Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

The ceremony took place in the beautiful garden at Flatbush Farm, filled with tons of exposed brick, lovely ivy and dangling lights it was the perfect place for this couples wedding! The father of the bride built the chuppah giving it such personal value, they were literally married under a chuppah built by love and family!

Dinner was served al fresco in the same garden as the ceremony! We could not have asked for a more beautiful night, the weather was perfect and the food was simply delicious! On the menu was an assortment of salads and greens and a duck that melted in your mouth! The food and service were really incredible! It was served family style and was all organic and sourced or grown locally!

The evening continued with some fun dancing and a dessert bar that could not be forgotten! Flatbush Farm made the largest panna cotta I have ever seen, it was accompanied by a freshly baked cookie bar! The guests left the wedding with cookbooks filled with family recipes, such a great touch! Lindsay + Julian really thought of it all and found so many ways to make this wedding a reflection of them! I was honored to be a part of their big day :)

Budding Brooklyn Romance

To create the whimsical look I dreamed of for this romantic, editorial-style wedding shoot, I reached out to some of my favorite vendors - and dear friends! - for help. The aim was to soften the industrial Brooklyn loft venue by creating a modern and elegant look centered around a more traditional red-rose color scheme. ENJOY!

We started by creating a lounge for our bride-to-be and her attendants, complete with cushy furniture, wire birdcages, and a champagne bar with fresh fruit. Likewise, we designed a sleek and masculine prep area for the groom, with leather chairs, a rustic wooden coffee table, vintage boxing gloves, and a stunning vintage American flag. For refreshments, beer and whiskey galore! (Vintage furniture by Patina Rentals)

In keeping with our floral theme, I decided on a cake inspired by the graceful shape of a rose. The bottom layer is meant to resemble enlarged petals, while the middle and top stand in for a stem and flowering bloom. To finish, the table is topped with fresh red petals for striking effect. (Cake by Cake Hero)

What to say about the dresses? I decided on not one, but two gorgeous frocks for the ultimate bridal experience. For the ceremony, I chose a long, flowing gown designed by Brooklyn-based designer Rebecca Shone of Shone Bridal and a flirtier, tea-length dress for the reception, paired with vintage kelly-green heels. The beautiful hand-made bridal accessories including the sash and crown came from the lovely Brooklyn based Hushed Commotion! The ever so elegant Shoko Wagner was our model for the day.

The tablescape I designed (Jove Meyer Events) was a vision in white, with an organza floral-patterned tablecloth, bright white candles, cream-colored plates, and napkins wrapped around glass chargers. Name cards were placed in mini glass vases with red roses; glass candle holders and bud vases served as centerpieces. A handmade, custom-designed chandelier with crystals, hanging candles, and more roses glistened overhead. (Rentals courtesy of Broadway Party Rentals)

For the ceremony, we used vintage couches for seating with two vintage doors framing the altar. We placed glass Cape Cod buoys at the entrance of the aisle, and used rose petals to spell the word of the day, "LOVE," down the middle.

We had two wonderful musicians who sang a perfect love song they had recently written! Thanks 3 West! Delicious + Local food courtesy of Brooklyn caterer Saucy By Nature

In the end, simple elegance was the driving force behind the day's design, and each item was carefully selected or created with whimsy and romance in mind. I was thrilled with the outcome - mission accomplished!
